Terms of service

PawRecap is for pet sitters, dog walkers and similar businesses (“you”). You create an account, add your clients and their pets, and send reports. Pet owners who receive a report do not have an account and are not bound by these terms; they are simply reading a page you chose to send them.

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract to use the service.

Everything you put into PawRecap — client and pet details, photos, notes — is yours. You give us only the licence we need to store it, show it back to you, and deliver it to the pet owner you send it to. We do not use it for anything else and we do not train anything on it.

You are responsible for having the right to send what you send: photographs taken inside a client's home, details about their pet, and the client's email address. Only send reports to people who have engaged you to care for their pet.

A sent report is a web page at a long, random, unguessable address. Anyone who has that address can open it — that is what lets an owner forward it to their family without a login, and it means you should treat the link like the report itself. There is no password on a report page. Reports are excluded from search engines.

Monthly recap pages work the same way: a long unguessable link anyone can open, no password, excluded from search engines. They are made to be shared more widely than a report, so they show even less — the pet, your branding and the month's numbers, with no client name and no visit notes.

Reports never show a client's email, phone number or address; addresses are not stored in the service at all.

The free plan lets you send 10 reports per calendar month; free reports and recap pages carry a short “Made with PawRecap 🐾” line. Pro is $9 per month or $79 per year, removes that line, adds your own logo and colour, shows you when a report has been opened, and has no monthly cap. New accounts get a 14-day Pro trial with no card required; when it ends you are on the free plan unless you subscribe.

Subscriptions are billed by Stripe and renew automatically until you cancel, which you can do at any time from your account; you keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for. If you cancel or a payment fails and you are past the free cap for the month, sending pauses until next month or until you resubscribe — your drafts and history are never removed for that reason.

Refunds: if something is broken and we cannot fix it, ask within 14 days of a charge and we will refund it. Otherwise subscriptions are not refunded pro rata.

Photos are stored privately and shown on report pages through short-lived links generated each time the page loads. On the free plan, photos older than 18 months may be moved to archival storage or deleted; we will email the address on your account at least 30 days before that happens the first time. Pro accounts keep photos for as long as the account exists. If you later move from Pro back to the free plan, the free-plan schedule applies from then on — and we will email you again at least 30 days before anything is deleted.

Do not use PawRecap to send unsolicited email, to harass anyone, to store material you do not have the right to store, or to do anything unlawful. Do not attempt to access another account's data or interfere with the service. We can suspend or close accounts that do.

We work to keep the service running, but it is provided as is. It is a tool for sending updates, not a system of record for animal welfare: if a pet needs a vet, call the vet. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

You can stop at any time. On request we delete your account and everything in it, including photos; sent report and recap links stop working. We can close the service itself with at least 30 days' notice, during which you can export what you need.
